Our Story
Why we started Roam Rapture
Roam Rapture Limited was founded in Kampala by a small group of East-African travel professionals — drivers, guides, planners — who had spent years moving guests around the region for other companies, and were tired of cookie-cutter itineraries that ignored what made each destination special.
We wanted to build something local-first: trips designed by people who live here, guides who grew up walking these forests and savannahs, and partner camps chosen because they treat staff and land well — not because they pay the highest commission.
Today we operate full-service safaris and bespoke journeys across four countries. Every itinerary is signed off by a founder before it's sent.

Our founding team has collectively delivered 200+ safaris across East Africa with previous operators — gorilla trekking, classic wildlife circuits, climbing expeditions, beach extensions.
