Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park has a rich historical heritage starting with its founding as a limited hunting area in 1933. The vast, undulating landscape of the park, covering more than 260 square kilometers in southern Ankole, is evidence of the cultural heritage of the Banyankole Bahima pastoralists. Lake Mburo National Park is now evidence of Uganda's commitment to the protection of the environment and the preservation of species.
